Rage4 ANY - managed anycast BGP gateways

Rage4 ANY allows you to extend your current infrastructure with your own anycast IP.
It utilize GRE tunneling and BGP sessions (but it doesn't require public ASN, you can use private ones, and yes, private ones are free).

I want to invite 5 LET users for closed beta (pre-production).

Requirements:

  • you should have at least 3 VMs/servers in US West Coast, East Coast and EU (preferred LA, NY and Amsterdam),

  • you should have minimal networking knowledge (we will assist with GRE/BGP setup),

  • you must be well known, reputable LET user for at least 6 months.

Please PM me with information:

  • why do you want to use anycast IP,

  • how can it improve things you are doing.

Deadline Friday, the 4th of April, 23:59 UTC.

The closed beta is scheduled for 4-5 weeks. After go-live all testers will be able to keep their IPs and get 50% discount from our base price (except DDoS protection).

Cheers

Peter

  • How much is the base price?

  • I applied! I've been looking for your offer for a long time :)

@darknyan - we will announce pricing within next 2 weeks

I'll wait to see the pricing, don't really want to get involved if I can no longer justify the expense after the beta. Nice idea though, hope it works out as planned.

@udk - we are thinking about something between 20 and 30€ per month with some amount of traffic included + additional traffic usage. The DDoS protection which we are going to offer is unique as we are able to provide custom protection plan per IP - the protection itself will be charged separately.

  • DDoS protected plans would only be anycasted to NL, LA and NY, right? Actually, the service sounds great, would this also work for UDP traffic? And if one location goes down, would it automatically failover to another one?

Sounds very interesting. Looking forward to see how this pans out.

  • Looking forward to this as well. Can't say I really fit the requirements (as in: I'm not an expert on BGP/GRE) and I don't see any use for this yet, but I'd definitely like to "dig into" this in the future.

Wow sounds very interesting. Good to see some innovation.
